Your enclosure is the first shield against tough WWTP conditions. To make sure it holds up, check for:
- IP66 / NEMA 4X ratings to protect from washdowns, corrosion, and airborne particles.
- Fiberglass-reinforced polyester for long-lasting UV and chemical resistance.
- Polycarbonate designs (such as the AMP Series) for superior impact strength and UV stability.
- Router-cut knockouts that keep the seal tight and eliminate the risk of leaks from hand-cut openings.
If your enclosure can’t stand up to the environment, neither will the controls inside.
